Meditation benefits and how to begin (10 minutes a day).

Good evening kings and queens, ever heard of meditating? So, what is it all about? And what are the benefits? Should you do it? And if so, why?

My experience

 

 

This video and the recommendation of a well known influencer in Israel, Hadar Ashuah. Were enough for me to give it a try, and I was successful in incorporating it into my daily routine for 10 minutes a day.
I have to tell you that it sounded weird to me at first and I had no idea why would anyone do it, but as I kept doing it I started understanding better why it helps concentrate.

 

 

How could it be that this weird thing would help me? (What I discovered about Sympathetic and Para Sympathetic)

 

 

Some of you might know this but I have only recently discovered that the body has 2 nervous systems the sympathetic and para sympathetic. They are activated each in other situations.

 

 

When the sympathetic system is activated it raises stress and alarm which is a needed defence mechanism, only that these days there is too much false alarm that is not really needed because we face a lot less fight or flight situations than our ancient ancestors. Then there is the para sympathetic nervous system which when activated we feel like sleeping, chilling, eating.

 

 

When we do meditation we activate the para sympathetic system which helps get certain benefits that were mentioned above.

 

 

For me, I feel like it has helped me concentrate ( I’ve been doing it for something like half a year ), relax and helped me a lot with coping with anxiety. Apart from that, there is so much that I’m still unaware of but as I’ll keep doing it and of course researching when I come to it (Oh gosh so many good things to read and research…) I hope my awareness will raise, and I’ll be sure to share my other discoveries on the topic with you 🙂
