Narration

Clarity of Speech

How clear and understandable was the voice?
Some word’s pronounciation is hard to understand. 5/6

Fluency

Were there any gulps, voice jumps? Recording interruptions? The higher the score – the less interruptions. 7/7

Expressing Emotions

How much does it sound as if the narrator was really there?
How attached is he to the sentiment in the story?
And how well does he transfer the emotion to the reader?
Answer: I’d say he is often quite robotic, and sometimes does not read the punctuation well, so that the reader can definitely feel that he is just reading text and not telling a story. 5/7

Plot

Is there a storyline? How connected is one Idea to the one before it?

Answer: I wouldn’t say it’s a story. As always, a marketing book is not expected to have one. Though as in regards to it’s order of contents – Some of the chapters 1-4 may be interchangeable, while chapters 5-12 mostly build upon each other. 8/10

Heading Distribution

When I read the heading, can I recall the contents?

Answer:
The following is my rating of each chapter in regards to remembering the contents of it’s headings:
1 – 2/3
2 – 3/3
3 – 3/3
4 – 2/3
5 – 5/5
6 – 2/2
7 – About half
8,9 – Clearly as I wrote about them
10 – 12 Yes
Eventual rating – 9/10

Drive For Implementation

How much does the book push you to apply it’s contents?

Visuals

Does it use images or other resources to transfer it’s message?
Answer: There are some great illustrations and one redirect to a YouTube video (e-book), though it could use some more, the existing ones are great.
In the audible.co.uk version there is no accompanying PDF, so no images. 5/7

Direct Calls to Action

How often does the author prompt you to apply the ideas in the book?
Answer: At the end of each chapter there are reflection questions, which is great, but maybe more guidance as to the order of applying and prioritizing would be great. 5/6

Providing Actual Specific Details

Can you actually apply the Ideas in the book without additional resources?
Answer: As you have seen in the main blog post, you most definitely can some of them. But, most principles could use elaboration, which is normal, but not Wow. That is why the rating is – 5/7

Examples

How often are examples provided to explain a point, and how well do they portray the ideas?
Answer: There are quite some examples, but I feel they could have been more memorable. 17/20

Content

How interesting/useful was the content?
Answer: Though I have made 3 applications for which I’m super grateful, I don’t exactly  see myself using all the contents in the book. (Like I wrote in “Providing Actual Specific Details”) – 17/20
